Watching people play video games might have been a casual pastime before Twitch launched. But after Twitch TV was created, streaming truly turned into an art and a science, even a profession for some. Twitch now hosts all kinds of shows and lets stream content for a passionate fanbase.
Twitch is a great platform to sit back, relax, and watch your favourite streamers play games and chat with their communities. If you’re bored of Twitch, however, you might want to disable or delete your account.
If you prefer to go with the disabling option, here’s how to do it:
Step 1 :- Login to your Twitch account on the main Twitch website.
Step 2 :- Click on the drop-down menu in the top-right corner and select Settings.
Step 3 :- Scroll down to the bottom of the settings page and you should see a section called, Disable Your Twitch Account. Click on Disable Account.
Step 4 :- Click the purple Disable Account button. Your account will now be disabled.
Disabling a Twitch account can be done very quickly but before you do so, there are some things you should do first.
It is already clear that Twitch doesn’t provide a way to delete your account permanently; you can only disable it. But now you might be worried about your account information.
Well! After disabling your account, you can follow these steps to keep everything safe and secure:
Step 1 :- Go to twitch.tv and sign into your account, if needed.
Step 2 :- Head to "https://www.twitch.tv/user/delete-account" by clicking this link, or by pasting it into your address bar.
Enter the reason for deleting your account, and then select "Delete account"
While completely disabling a Twitch account can appear a little extreme, there are several legitimate reasons why some users choose to do so instead of just not logging in anymore. Here are three of the more common ones.
