How To Add Resume To LinkedIn

LinkedIn is the number-one online networking tool for professionals and job seekers. With that in mind, it might be to upload a resume to LinkedIn. But that’s not really how LinkedIn is meant to be used.

If you wish your resume on your LinkedIn profile, there is a logical place for it in your top header underneath your name and headline, and a part of your summary. LinkedIn allows you to upload files to the current section.

It’s nice for slide decks, portfolio links, and articles you’ve revealed, however you can also upload a resume file.

Reasons to Not Add Your Resume to Your LinkedIn Profile

While uploading a supplementary document is right if you have got a portfolio or samples of creative work that enhance your profile, a resume contains too much personal info. This puts your privacy and security at risk.

Specifically, if you write your address on your resume, it will be on the market for alternative LinkedIn users to access. Anyone who stumbles upon your page might potentially verify wherever you live, your telephone number, and all sorts of info you’d rather keep to yourself and legitimate employers.
