After login, if you want to switch to full screen mode, you wont be able to. What you will see is the resolution of 800×600 which is the default resolution.
This is because, VMware tools are not installed. Please follow the below steps to install VMware tools. After the installation and reboot, you will be able to see the desktop with resolution same as your computer.
