How do I create Shutdown Shortcut on Desktop


Where Windows 7 displays its power button in a prominent place on its Start Menu, both Windows and the new Windows 8.1 make you play out a few activities just to turn your PC off and theyre all buried.Theres a simple approach to put the shutdown and restart works only a single tick far from the desktop and Start screen.

Do you want to make your PC easier to shut down? In this Post,I will manage you how to create a shortcut for shutdown and how to schedule your PC to shutdown at any time. Just create shortcuts for both actions using the following step When you click the Shortcut menu item.


To create a shortcut of the “Shutdown” option

Step 1 : Right click on desktop and select "New > Shortcut" .


Step 2 : A "Create Shortcut" window will appear. Type " shutdown -s –t 0 –f ". Click on "Next" then "Finish".


Step 3 : Now shutdown shortcut is created on desktop.


Step 4 : Right click on the shortcut and select "Properties > Shortcut > Change icon And Select Shutdown icon".
